"Aunt Jenn is a good writer, but is she a good printer?" (He's mastering his handwriting skills at school.)
My nephew is an arbiter of good taste, natch.
Also, I was crushed when I went to the Buckhead B&N late last night and couldn’t find my book on the shelf. My sister-in-law took it upon herself to call them and complain (poor booksellers—my sis-in-law and I both used to be booksellers ourselves when we were younger, so it’s not like we haven’t been on the other end of phone calls like that, LOL!), only to learn that they’d sold out. Oops!
That reminds me: my local Walmart completely overhauled their book section last week and removed the Sci-Fi/Fantasy bay; they no longer stock UF books. Yet another reason for me not to walk in that blasted hellpit of a store.
Even if you missed UF author Carolyn Crane‘s surprise giveaway of KINDLING yesterday here, you can still go to her blog and read the nice things she said. You might remember when I nearly died of excitement and fangirl fanaticism last year after I read her first book, Mind Games, here. I still can’t believe she blurbed me. Her Disillusionist series got optioned for TV, by the way. How cool is that? (Please TV gods, make this series, and make it good!)
