Five! (Giveaway)

I hold in my hand five copies of SUMMONING THE NIGHT which I will mail out to five lucky commenters picked at random at five o’clock on Sunday night, April 15.

Only restriction? You must live in the US.

Now, it would be beyond awesome if, on or shortly after the release date, you’d be kind enough to write a quick yet honest review of the book on, say, amazon.com (US) or barnesandnoble.com or even just goodreads.com, but if you have a deathly fear of writing reviews (maybe all those book reports you were forced to write in school still haunt your dreams), rest assured: no one is going to judge or hunt you down in the middle of the night. :)

Books will be mailed out on Monday, April 16th. The release date for SUMMONING is April 24th. So that means the winners will likely have the book in their hot little hands early.

Simply comment on this post to be entered. Easy peasy. UPDATE: Winners chosen. See my comment for list.

Guest Blog and Giveaway

Cady is NOT a wizard . . . not that there’s, umm, anything wrong with that.

Check out my post about the word “magician,” and why I chose to use it instead of “witch” or “mage” or “wizard” or “sorcerer of the dark arts” in the Arcadia Bell series. It’s here on the French book site Between Dreams and Reality, in both English and French translations. Also: you can enter to win a copy of KINDLING or SUMMONING—your choice. International giveaway.

Tease-y Tidbits

I might look cute, but I've probably just done something evil behind your back.

You might’ve noticed things are looking different around here. I’ve been redecorating: what do you think? Haven’t worked out all the kinks yet, so excuse the mess. And don’t even try to view the site on a mobile device. It looks like butt.

Next week I’ll be posting some links to guest blogs & contests, and I’ll even be running one of my own, right here on the blog. I’ve got author copies of SUMMONING THE NIGHT, and I’ll be giving away 5  of them: signed & personalized. So check back.

This isn’t really big news to you, but it is to me: you’ll be able to buy SUMMONING in Walmart. I’m assuming it won’t be EVERY Walmart—just the ones with big book sections. But still. Kind of cool.

And, lastly, for those who haven’t heard, not only will you be getting Arcadia 2 this year (only 3 weeks away until SUMMONING releases!), you’ll be getting Arcadia 2.5 on Christmas day! That’s right: you can give yourself a stocking stuffer & order it for your favorite eReader. Now you’ll have something to look forward to while the rest of your family sleeps off the ginormous holiday meal. When I have the preorder links, I’ll post them. I think my publisher will be publishing it for the low, low price of $1.99. I’ve posted a few early details in the BOOKS section at the bottom of the page.

Jupe’s Prank Drawings, Giveaways, Early Review

Mosey on over to the oh-so-fab Tynga’s Reviews and check out my, err, unique contribution to their Paranormal April Fools’ event, and help Jupe pick the perfect prank to pull on Lon. There are drawings by Jupe. There are six (6!) copies of SUMMONING THE NIGHT up for grabs (US/Canada). Three of those babies will be signed.

What, you need more? How about a peek at an early review of SUMMONING? They’ve got that covered, too. Did this review bring a tiny, joyful tear to my eye? Yes, yes it did. I mean, NO—of course not. Pfft. This is my second book release. I’m totally immune to reviews at this point. Totally. *sniffle*

Shadow Reader Giveaway Winner

The winner of the copy of Sandy William’s The Shadow Reader is: rissatoo. Thanks to everyone who entered. I’m going to start giving away more books on my blog. So if you didn’t win, check back in again for a new giveaway.

Hope everyone’s having a good week and reading something spectacular. I’ve read a LOT of great books recently, and I feel the burning need to shout their titles from a rooftop. If I can tear myself away from Red Dead Redemption and the plotting of my new PNR series, I’ll blog about them later this week.
